Quinny in a real helocopter at the fair - he loved it! |
Q has been sleeping better but Carrie and I aren't!? Doesn't that say it all. We both were up at 3 and never made it back to bed last night. Oh the humanity! It's always something. Quinny is really focusing on making it through the night without wetting the bed. He's got a nice streak going of 5 days in a row. He has been getting up on his own usually around wake up time but sometimes super early, around 5 or so, and on a good day will head back to bed. We're, of course, bribing him for not only waking up dry but for staying in his bed until 6:45 so he can get a two-fer in the morning if he does both. We're proud of the job he's doing and we think he's making some good progress. He's smart and will do anything for his treats so I think he'll make it. After he has a good streak going we'll probably get him into a big boy bed.

At fair - we thought a cute pic |
Lazybones still isn't walking and doesn't appear to be making much progress in that department. His vocabulary, though, is going bonkers. If you haven't seen him in a while you're going to freak out with all the words he can say. He'll copy just about anything he hears so you have to be really careful what you say around him. He came home yesterday being able to repeat row, row your boat if you sing it slowly for him. I would say his favorite words are stinky, eat, eat, eat and more. I love that he san say stiiinnnnnnnnnky. He emphasizes the first half of stin so it's funny and he just rattles it off 5 times in a row chanting loudly. It's hilarious!
He took 4 steps the other night but then wouldn't even stand up after that. At school they said they have gotten him to take a few steps but he gives up after the first try and then plops back down. He's a smidgen over 16 months now so we have to imagine he'll get there soon. C'mon buddy! He's getting to be such a load to carry around.
