This is my first attempt of not only filming video but also editing and uploading video so please be gentle. I was just messing around with the video camera trying to get familiar with using it so it's not very provocative video. Don't get turned off. In the future I will shoot something more entertaining. I essentially just wanted to see if this was going to work. And for the record I did "cut" this video, or as they say in the biz trimmed it twice. I feel like a high school AV club geek fumbling around with all this software. I won't embarrass myself and tell you I've invested about 3 hours into getting this online. My employer hopes I can be more efficient in the future so they aren't paying me to edit 60 second spots of my kid on work time. Just kidding. I think a Mac would be more helpful editing video as I am finding my computer slow and difficult to work with making the whole process cumbersome. Way to go Windows. And since this is taking forever to upload I think I will need to keep the videos shorter in the future. Since we live in 80 degree land and have no interest in venturing to the north pole, I mean Wisconsin or Iowa in sub-zero temps, we are hoping the occasional G rated video (I signed a waiver saying I won't upload seedy material - It's art!) will hold folks over until we get back to the frozen tundra - hopefully after it's thawed. (Read a minimum of 60s!) In the mean time we encourage the eskimos up north to come down and get a reprieve from the cold. Thaw out and spend a few days in Tampa visiting with our new arrival, Quentin. If you're lucky we'll subject you to hours of home video.
Okay, so I have been attempting to upload this 55 second video since about 12 pm EST today. It's a little after 9:30 - PM!!! The answer is no, I cannot upload video to this blog. I'm going to have to get back to the drawing board. Santa is coming tonight so maybe he'll bring me some instructions on how to do this. Merry Christmas!
